Probably the most signature highlight of Armin Strom is etching, and that has an inseparable tie to the brand’s author and namesake. Armin Strom made his name with his magnificent abilities as an etcher and is in the Guinness Book of World Records for skeletonizing the littlest watch ever, by hand obviously. A year ago the company presented the One Week Skeleton , that included a completely skeletonized and engraved variant of the in-house type ARM09-S. It was the start of the new Armin Strom Skeleton Pure assortment , which was presented end of a year ago, and now a one of a kind piece will be sold during the Only Watch 2015 auction.
The Armin Strom Skeleton Pure is an ideal exhibit of what the brand is fit off and can really be viewed as a full watchmaking exercise on the wrist. Everything is noticeable! From the second you wind the crown, and see the two enormous heart barrels pivoting, with the origins inside being twisted, to the sluggish turning of the second hand on the left half of the dial. All cog wheels, pinions, scaffolds and switches are uncovered and when you take a loupe you can without much of a stretch report how everything functions. Disregard your yoga class, this is significantly more relaxing.
For the Only Watch sell off that will be hung on 7 November 2015, in Geneva, Armin Strom gave an exceptional rendition of the Skeleton Pure. It is powered by the manual winding type ARM09-S, with two origin barrels that store sufficient energy for eight long periods of self-governance, when completely wound. On the left half of the dial is the little second sub dial, with the power hold marker fused inside. These hands are co-hub. The minutes and hours are shown by midway positioned hands – or really a smidgen askew – that are loaded up with brilliant material.
The mainplate and spans highlight a straight-grain finish, and are in this manner matte dark PVD-covered. This features their definition wonderfully, and dependent on close to home involvement in the Skeleton Pure Air (that I’m wearing right now for a survey) I can validate that the scaffolds have a dazzling differentiation against the cleaned steel of the skeletonized origin barrels and the pinion wheels. The extensions of this novel Only watch will surely show much more differentiation. The Armin Strom Skeleton Pure comes in a stainless steel case that estimates 43 mm in width, 13 mm in tallness, and is water impervious to 50m.
