Monochrome x Glashütte Original – The creation of a movie for Berlinale

Sometimes, in your watch journalist’s life, you have some uplifting news coming. You can test watches that are normally difficult to get your hands on, you will visit fabricates, you expounding on your enthusiasm. Notwithstanding, now and again, you end up to something more exclusive and uncommon. As of late, we had a solicitation from a brand we truly like here at Monochrome-Watches, a German production called Glashütte Original. And the result is this pleasant movie that will be introduced during Berlinale (Berlin’s Film Festival) and here the story behind it.

The story behind this movie is straightforward. Born in Nick Hayek’s and Yann Gamard’s minds (CEO of Swatch Group and CEO of Glashütte Original), along with Glashütte Original showcasing/PR groups, the thought was to request 5 companions from the brand to make a movie that shows their view of the assembling and what is the main element to discuss. We at Monochrome-Watches, were waited to talk about the watches, the developments, the finishings… indeed, one might say, what we are generally discussing here. All things being equal, we decided to discuss the best and most significant part of this German assembling: the ladies and men behind these watches and the manner in which they are sending their insight, from an age to another.

The idea was to zero in first on the historical backdrop of the assembling, its old roots and how this German method to make watches developed and made due to difficult stretches (WWI and WWII for example). Our impression of Glashütte Original was a ‘Phoenix Rising’, in view of the resurrection of fine watchmaking in 1994 in this little Saxonian town. In any event, during WWII and GDR times, individuals at Glashütte kept on building watches and to communicate their insight on the most proficient method to fabricate excellent watches and lovely movements.

Our primary concern when recording this movie was to zero in on the ladies and men working at Glashütte Original and how, into the watchmaking school and inside the production, they are communicating their expertise to youthful ages. The best anyway is to examine this delightful movie and we’ll guarantee you that you’ll learn things you’d presumably never expect from a brand like Glashütte Original.

Special because of the showcasing and PR groups of Glashütte Original for their understanding and expertise. Additionally because of the movie group for making with us this movie.
